A clarification

1 min read

I realize that I tend to use the term "so and so requested X piece" or something along that line. A request is just another way to say commission. As in paid commission. There are literally only a handful of people in this world that I will do free art for. After all, "if you're good at something, never do it for free".

Peace,

NM

This morning, at 2:30 am est, my Mother passed away due to complications related to covid-19.  She passed peacefully on her sleep.  I should be relieved that whatever suffering she was going through is over, but I'd give anything to be able to have seen her one last time, just to say hi and tell her about my day and how things were going.  She was one of my biggest supporters and fans of my art.  And was always so proud of what I did.  I last saw he this past Christmas, and will hold that time in my memory forever.
If you read this, tell those that matter in your life how you feel.  Don't put off that phone call or visit.

This past weekend was not a great one.  Both my Mother and Step-father were taken to the emergency room.  He ended up having a case of walking pneumonia and she had an unrelated infection.  He was discharged while she was admitted as her condition (yes I'm being a bit vague for personal reasons) was worse than his.  The hospital did test both of them for covid19 as is their policy to do so.  He testes negative and was sent home that night.  My mother's test results, for some reason, did not come back until Monday, she tested positive.  So now my younger sister her husband, step-father, grand mother and the entire household (my sister's two teenaged daughters and her newborn baby) are under the 14 day quarantine.  Today it took a bad turn as my Mom's condition has worsened and she is being placed into ICU and on a ventilator.  While the wonderful medical staff is doing their best and keeping in contact with us, not being able to visit her is weighing heavily on us all.  I decides to share this with DA as my drawing may not be as forthcoming as I'd like.  I'll probably juat start uploading older art for the time being.  Please take this time to take to friends and family, and never let anything go unspoken .
Peace out and take care out their.

With all the craziness surround covid19, I just want to say I hope that everyone is safe (and doing art 😎).  Unfortunately I found out, today, that my mother has tested positive for it.  She was already in the hospital, for another issue, and they testes her (due to her age etc)  So, remember to tell those close to you how you feel and stay safe.
